鉛筆やペンを用いた細密なドローイングを中心に発表してきた永岡ですが、
本展では過去、現在、未来を軸に作られた映像作品を発表。
3本で一つの作品となる本作品は、過去：「自分が覚えている一番古い記憶
＝祖父の話（他者の記憶）」、現在：「バス停＝曖昧な今」、未来：「森＝見え
ないものが見える夢の世界」という3つの要素で構成され、それぞれ独立した
スクリーンで上映されます。
「記憶」あるいは「痕跡」について確かなことは「我々は忘れてしまう」という
ことだと永岡は考えます。感情、感覚、また時として自分を形作る重要な
記憶すら我々は忘れてしまいます。
画面となる紙を真上から撮影し、描いては消す作業を早回しで再生して
アニメーションに仕上げる技法は、イメージの重なりや消した痕跡など全てが
含まれており、記憶と忘却という厳然たる事実、ダイナミズムを混沌と、
そして有機的に表現しています。

緻密な線と豊かな物語性が特徴の作品で活動の場を広げる永岡大輔による新作展
「RING WONDERING」
鉛筆やインクの線を繰り返し重ね、目を見張る繊細さで描かれるドローイング作品を
中心に制作する永岡は、記憶の中に構築されたストーリーと、記憶の中に消え去る
直前の儚さを併せ持つ不思議な世界を表現しています。
本展のタイトル「RING WONDERING (リング ワンダリング）」とは、輪形彷徨（りんけい
ほうこう）と訳され、ランドマークが無い、視界を奪われた、方向感覚を失った等の
理由で、無意識の内に文字通り円形に同一地点を彷徨い歩く事を言います。
見たことの無い世界に迷い込んだ不安感や出口の見えない焦燥感、そして居場所を
見つけた時の安堵感。世界が大きく変わろうとしている今日、私達の存在する世界と、
永岡が感じ取る異次元の世界の狭間を、確実な画力で表現しています。
1973年生まれの永岡は日本大学卒業後渡英、2003年にロンドンのWimbledon School
of Artで修士課程を修了しました。帰国後はTokyo Wonder Siteを始め世界各国の個展、
グループ展で作品を発表。
We are pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition, “RING WONDERING”
by Daisuke Nagaoka, who draws poetic images with delicate and detailed lines
of ink and pencil. Nagaoka makes the imaginative world that contains
fragility to disappear into the memory.
The title "RING WONDERING" literally means wondering in circle. If you were
nowhere without landmarks, lost your sight or lost the sense of direction,
you would be walking around in circle unconsciously.
Nagaoka emphasizes an anxiety of unknown place, the frustration of no
exit, or the relief when you realize where you were.
Today, the world is changing drastically. Nagaoka expresses the interstice
of the world where we exist and the world that Nagaoka sees .
Born in 1973, Nagaoka graduated from Nippon University and moved to UK.
After acquiring M.A. at Wimbledon School of Art in London, he began his
career through several solo and group exhibitions, such as the one
represented by “Tokyo Water Site” in Tokyo.

緻密な線の集積で、詩的な世界を描き出す永岡大輔による新作展、「曖昧な庭」。 永岡は、インクの線を繰り返し重ねて描くドローイングを中心に発表しています。 その繊細な表現方法で、実在と想像の狭間にいるかのような動物や昆虫、 森を描いてきました。静寂な雪景色のように真白な紙に浮かぶ彼らは、己の 世界を支配している力強さと、記憶の中に消え去る直前の儚さを併せ持つ不思議な姿 をしています。本展では、永岡独自の世界観が現れたドローイング作品に加え、ハチ の真社会性（※１）にインスピレーションを受けた立体作品を発表します。線を重 ね、描くというアクションを反復する、もしくは小さな破片を積み上げて塊を作るという 献身的行為。女王に尽くす働きバチは、自身と外界をつなぐ「曖昧な庭」という概念 の中で自身の居場所と描くべきイメージを求めて飛び回ります。 1973年生まれの永岡は日本大学卒業後渡英、2003年にロンドンのWimbledon School of Artで修士課程を修了しました。帰国後はTokyo Wonder Siteを始め 世界各国の個展、グループ展で作品を発表。

真社会性：ハチやアリ等、女王や働きバチ（アリ）のような階層があり、集団の中に
社会的構造を備える昆虫を社会性昆虫という。中でも、子孫を増やさず働くだけの不
妊階層が存在するハチ、一部のアリ、シロアリなどに見られる特殊な社会性を真社会
性と呼ぶ。
Daisuke Nagaoka Solo Exhibition “Aimai na Niwa -Ambiguous Garden-”

Daisuke Nagaoka draws poetic images with detailed, accumulated lines.
With many layers of ink line and delicate expression,Nagaoka creates the
image of insects, animals and forest which exist between the reality and imagination.
Flowing above the snow-alike white paper, the creatures are depicted with the strength in controlling their own world as well as the fragility to appear as disappearing into the memory.
In this exhibition, not only his drawing works, a 3D work which he caughtinspiration from "eusociality"* of bees will be exhibited.
The self-sacrificing actions of drawing the line over and over, or keep
putting up fragments to create a mass. The worker bees will be flying around
to look for their places to be and images to be visualized in the "ambiguous
garden", which connect both the self and outer world.

* Eusociality: Insects which have structured social classification are
