TAKAの新作写真展「vital -kissing tree-」。
2007年の個展では、写真に存在する絶対的要素、色、形、質感を独自の視点で再構築し、抽象絵画的なカラーフィールド作品を発表したTAKAが、今回はモノクロの世界を展開します。色という要素を最小限に抑え、対象の形と質感に迫ることで、八ヶ岳周辺で撮影された樹々は我々の想像や記憶を遥かに超えた多様な表情を見せます。「vital(生命力)」、「kissing tree(倒木)」というタイトルに込められた原初的生命力への憧憬、その先に待つ死へ向かう不可逆的な時間軸さえも包括した樹々が放つ空気感は、人間が忘れかけている「活きる力」を感じさせます。

9歳から独学で写真を始める。より自由に生きることを求め、写真の道を志す。18歳で渡米、ニューヨークをベースに撮影、現像技術を習得、制作と個展での発表を続ける。帰国後、カルチャー／アート雑誌など多くのメディアでのポートレイト撮影、作品提供を始める。同時に南米を始め世界各国へ撮影へ。
2006年 wall(東京)、2007年 ファッション合同展示会「rooms」(東京)、door(東京)、2008年 hpgrp GALLERY東京(東京)にて作品発表。

TAKA, who offered us the abstract color field work that is restructured with the absolute elements of photograph like color, shape, and texture, will present us monochromatic world. In the images with minimum color and vivid texture, the forest of Mt. Yatsugadake shows various expression. Longing to the primordial vitality and the sense of death remind us of "The power of living" that people has forgotten.
TAKA
Started leaning how to take photos by himself at the age of nine. Chose to take the life as a photographer to live more freely.
Left to NY when he was eighteen. He learned techniques of shooting and developing and exhibited his works.
After coming back to Japan, Taka began to shoot portraits in a variety of media such as culture/art magazines. At the same time he began to explore and take photos in South America and other countries. He exhibited at Wall (Tokyo) in 2006, at fashion tradeshow “rooms” and Door (Tokyo) in 2007, and at hpgrp GALLERY TOKYO (Tokyo) in 2008.
TAKA 写真展「In Between」

各国で多くの写真を撮り続け、世界拠点を体現するフォトグラファーTAKAによる写真展、「In Between」。今回の個展では、写真に存在する絶対的要素、色、形、質感を独自の視点で再構築した作品を発表します。多くの写真から、何らかの共通項を持つ２枚を見出しペアにしたシリーズ作品は、２枚の間での時間の推移や、それぞれが違う国で撮影されたものでありながら類似したムードを孕む偶然性など、撮影時には存在しなかった「物語」を紡ぎます。また、フォーカスをぼかすことで、かたちと質感を排除し、情報量を極端に少なくすることで、情景の空気感のみを鮮明に浮き上がらせることに成功している大判シリーズは、抽象絵画的なカラーフィールドが、言語に支配されない原初的感覚を呼び起こします。
Photo Exhibition by TAKA “In Between”

A photo exhibition, “In Between” by TAKA, a photographer who is traveling and shooting all over the world. Taka reconstructs the essential elements in photographs; colors, forms, and textures.
In his new series, photos are selected and paired by their common character. These pairs show us new stories in between two images, such as passage of time, or coincidental similarities.
Taka excludes forms and textures by blurring the focus in large photo series. The amounts of information is reduced and it makes “the feels of the air” in the scenery visible.
Almost like color fields of abstract paintings, they will stimulate your primitive senses without the words. All the image visualize the viewpoints of TAKA who capture “something in between”.
