RYOONO 個展「UNDULATION」

グラフィック、テキスタイル、WALL PAINTと幅広い分野で活躍するRYOONOの新作展「UNDULATION」開催をご案内致します。RYOONOのアイデンティティでもある鮮やかな色彩とリズミカルで正確なラインは、躍動感溢れるWALL PAINT、またアパレルや飲食企業の商業デザインとのコラボレーションで多くの作品を世に送り出してきました。ライブペイントやコンピューターによるグラフィック制作にも定評のあるRYOONOですが、本展では「手で描く」ことに立ち返り、モノクロでの表現を中心に展開します。また、描いたイメージを実際に切り取り、重ねて貼っていくコラージュの要素も随所に見られ、コンピューター上では簡単なカットアンドペーストを実際に行なうことでバーチャルだった「イメージ」を物理的根拠と共に「存在」として再認識しています。
地球上から植物が無くなると、人間を含む全ての生物は絶滅しますが、人間が消えても植物は存在し続けるそうです。存在という点において絶対的に優勢な植物に、生命の本質的なUNDULATION(うねり)を描き出すRYOONOの新シリーズ、この機会にどうぞご高覧ください。

RYOONO - solo exhibition “UNDULATION”

We are pleased to announce the exhibition "UNDULATION" by RYOONO. RYOONO is the artist plays with graphic, textile, wall paint and more. Vivid color and precise lines are his significant essence, and he has produced many works by the collaboration with apparel designers and other commercial medias. RYOONO is also known for live-painting and computer graphics, however he faces to “drawings by hand” and develops monochromatic expression in this exhibition. The element of the collage is seen in this new series. The drawn image is actually cut out and paste. Virtual “cut and paste” on the computer is easy, however RYOONO recognizes "Existence" of the image by dealing it physically.
The plant keeps existing even if man disappears, though all living things including man are exterminated when the plant disappears from the earth. RYOONO visualizes UNDULATION of living things in the image of the plant.
